To provide high-quality service built on trust, our firm follows the policies below. Please review them before contacting us.
To maintain high-quality service built on trust, we work by referral as a rule. When applying, please give the name of someone (an acquaintance) who knows one of our patent attorneys. If you have no direct referrer, please look for a connection through organizations our attorneys belong to or engage with (chambers of commerce, junior chambers, alumni associations, ethics associations, the Production Technology Promotion Association), or consult us via a business-card exchange at a lecture or seminar as described below.
To serve you faithfully as your IP strategy partner, we check new requests for conflicts of interest with existing clients. If your matter competes with a client we already serve, patent-attorney ethics prevent us from taking it on. In that case, if you wish, we can introduce another trusted patent attorney. Until the conflict check is complete, please refrain from describing or mentioning any know-how or trade secrets.
We regard your competitive advantage as paramount, and even for filing consultations we may recommend a trade-secret strategy or a filing form different from the original plan. To sustain this approach, a time-charge basis is essential. A first meeting (a brief greeting) may be free in some cases, but meetings involving specific review or consultation are charged by time from the first session. Please feel free to ask in advance whether fees will apply.
1. Requesting a meeting
As noted, a referrer is required. Please fill in the meeting application form below or call the Osaka Head Office (06-6363-0566).
2. Attending a lecture or firm briefing
If you have no referrer and wish to meet one of our patent attorneys, please apply via one of the options below. Beyond service requests, we also welcome participation in networking for social-contribution activities (please understand that we decline sales-focused partnerships).
* In all cases, at this stage please refrain from describing specific trade secrets, know-how, or inventions. Start with an overview only; details will be discussed at a confidential meeting.Access for all offices
